About Reve Partners

We are your pair of safe hands

The dream

The name Reve carries a dual meaning, both practical and aspirational. Rêve is the French word for dream, connecting to the hopes, ambitions, and visions of the families and founders we support.

At the same time, Reve echoes the Old English word Reeve, which signifies a steward entrusted with the responsibility and care of sovereign property.

This balance between stewardship and aspiration reflects our purpose as a corporate and fiduciary partner. Originating in Mauritius, where French is widely spoken, the name Reve speaks to both the legacy we manage and the futures we help shape.

Who we are

Reve is a cross-border structuring, fiduciary services and corporate administration partner based in Mauritius, offering multi-jurisdictional structuring options. With our founders having over 60 years of combined international and Southern African financial services expertise, we support clients with tailored, compliant solutions across jurisdictions. Founded by two financial services professionals with complementary experience, our leadership brings together two sides of the same coin: institutional depth in corporate transactions, private wealth, and fiduciary services, alongside entrepreneurial insight in asset management and cross-border structuring.

This dual perspective gives us the clarity and capability to solve complex, cross-border mandates with precision and care. Our paths converged with a shared belief that technical strength means little without deep understanding at a personal level. Clients turn to us not just for structures, but for clarity. Not just for administration, but for guidance. Over time, we become part of their circle of trust.

What we offer

At Reve, our role is to simplify complexity. We help clients design, implement, and manage sound international structures, from trusts and holding companies to licensed investment vehicles and personal solutions for globally mobile families.

  • We structure, administer and oversee fiduciary and trust services that support succession planning, asset protection, and family governance.
  • We handle the structuring of investment and financial services entities for private equity, venture capital, funds, and financial intermediaries.
  • We set up and manage trading companies focused on international trade, including compliance, banking, and operational oversight.
  • We create general holding companies as tax-efficient vehicles to hold equity, manage investments, and centralise strategic control across jurisdictions.
  • We provide family office services tailored to high-net-worth families seeking holistic wealth protection and intergenerational planning.
  • We design property holding structures to manage international property portfolios efficiently and with long-term value in mind.
  • We establish intellectual property holding companies to manage, commercialise, and protect IP assets globally.
  • We deliver expatriate services, supporting globally mobile clients with work and residence permits, and access to efficient banking and tax services.

Our clients include family businesses, high-net-worth individuals, financial intermediaries, legal professionals, and investment groups with regional and international interests. Most of our relationships begin with a referral and stay for the long term.

Our People

The strength of Reve comes from the remarkable talent and dedication of our people. We value each individual’s uniqueness while building a shared ‘one firm’ culture where collaboration sparks creativity. Our people are the cornerstone of our success and the energy that propels us forward.

Our Founders

Vaughan Heberden

Co-Founder

I hold BA and LLB degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and have more than 30 years of global financial services experience, having held senior roles across private banking, asset management, and fiduciary services. I cut my teeth in the mining industry in the New Mining Business Division at Anglo American before crossing to financial services. I was fortunate to be one of the pioneers of the unit trust linked investment industry at UAL Merchant Bank, and subsequently, served as CEO of Ansbacher South Africa, FirstRand’s consolidated Private Banking business and was a Director of RMB Trust Services in Jersey. I was headhunted as Director of International and Private Banking for Southern and East Africa at Barclays Wealth. In 2008, I emigrated to Mauritius with my family to take up the role of CEO of the Cim Financial Services Group, a broad-based financial services group and led it to listing on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius in 2012.

Beyond work and family, I have had a 50-year romance with rugby as a player, coach and administrator. In 2014, I co-founded the Mauritian Barbarians and established a charitable trust that raises funds to enable an invitational team of talented Mauritian players to participate in the Dubai 7’s on an annual basis, with a focus on also drawing players from vulnerable communities. My credo is “passion drives performance”.

Junaid Udhin

Managing Director

After earning my degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Mauritius in 2005, I embarked on what has since become a 20-year journey in the financial services industry. My career began at International Financial Services Ltd (now Apex), where I laid the foundation for my professional growth and went on to qualify as an ACCA member in 2007. In 2009, I joined Cim Global Business (now IQEQ) as a Manager in Fund Administration, leading a dynamic team and managing high-value fund clients, investing globally. I was recruited by Deutsche Bank Mauritius’ fiduciary arm as Head of Transaction Management, where I deepened my expertise in fund administration at an international level.

From 2015, I had the privilege of leading the financial services arm of Harel Mallac Group, a listed conglomerate on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. This experience broadened my perspective and inspired me to explore the emerging fintech space. I subsequently served pro bono as Head of Regulations at the Mauritius Africa Fintech Hub—an initiative of the Economic Development Board—championing Mauritius as a regional fintech hub. In 2016, I was honoured to be among the few Mauritians selected for the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship under the Young African Leaders Initiative. This opportunity enabled me to pursue advanced studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States, while connecting with an extraordinary network of African leaders and innovators. Alongside my professional journey, I have remained deeply committed to humanitarian causes, actively advocating for social welfare, peace, poverty alleviation, and human rights. My ongoing interests in professional excellence and community engagement have nurtured in me a profound “commitment to service,” which continues to motivate me and define my purpose.

Alastair Nairn

Co-Founder

I am an avid long-distance gravel cyclist, having learnt the beneficial outcome of overcoming mental and physical challenges. I’ve come to appreciate how being trained for endurance, however demanding, pays off in the long run. This translates directly into my business dealings, acknowledging that our clients’ aspirations require detailed planning, foresight, adaptability and precision over time, due to ever-changing conditions and requirements.

My career over the last 35 years has been largely in senior management positions where I have gained significant experience in banking and insurance, hedge fund management and private equity. I was appointed head of marketing for asset manager Marriott Singer, a joint venture between the Marriott Group and Singer & Friedlander IoM. Thereafter, I founded Orange Capital, a boutique hedge fund business licensed in South Africa and Mauritius, which was sold in 2010.

Over the last 15 years, I have specialised predominantly in advising SADC-based high-net-worth individuals, institutional clients and asset managers on their international structuring requirements and company design. I have deep experience establishing structures across Mauritius, Seychelles, and the Channel Islands, and am well-versed in the capabilities of Mauritius as an international financial centre. I hold a Diploma in Financial Planning and am a CFP® professional. My drive, energy and passion for simplifying complex requirements, particularly in financial services, are valued by many of our clients and business associates.
